Video Production for Newmarket's Racing and Bloodstock Businesses
Newmarket's calendar runs on sales weeks, the flat season and the Guineas meetings, and a shoot booked around those dates captures footage nobody filming on an ordinary Tuesday can get. A yearling sale or a busy training morning is worth planning a shot list around rather than treating as background colour. Working from Hills Road, we're about 25 minutes down the A14. We build the shoot so one day of filming produces a master film, ad variants and vertical cuts, not a single clip that only works alone.

About us
Clickscope is a small production team on Hills Road that Newmarket trainers, studs and hospitality businesses use for ad creative and recruitment film, planned around a single shoot day. As a Cambridge digital marketing agency just 13 miles away, we can be at a Newmarket yard or office for a video conversation without it being an event.
Our MISSION
Plan the shoot around the calendar, then cut it many ways
We start by agreeing what a Newmarket business needs a film to do. That could mean selling a yard's facilities, recruiting for a stable role, or explaining equine services that are hard to describe in text. From there we build a shot list for a master film and several cuts, timed to the weeks the trade is actually busy.

Judged on the job, not the view count
Every film is judged against the purpose it was made for: cost per result for an ad, conversion on a product page, or whether it helps close deals faster.
How we run video production for Newmarket businesses
01 / How we work
One shoot, several deliverables
We plan the shot list so a single day at the yard or sale produces a master film alongside ad variants and vertical social cuts. The crew and the day are what cost money, not the number of assets produced.

Measured against a defined job
We decide in advance whether a piece is judged by cost per result, product page conversion or faster sales conversations, which stops anything being swapped out on a whim.

Everything stays in your name
You get the final edits, subtitle files and raw footage on request at handover, with full usage rights included and licensed music cleared and named.
Client Results
A client we filmed for saw monthly ad spend of £3,700 grow into between £130,000 and £190,000 in monthly sales. Accounts operating at that level need a constant flow of fresh creative, which is why we plan each shoot to produce several assets rather than one film. That was one client's result, not a template for every stud or stable yard.

FAQ
The questions you actually want answered
Do you travel out to Newmarket to film, and where's your base?
We're at 9 Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 1GE, about 25 minutes down the A14 and A1303. Most shoots happen at your yard, sale or premises, and we can be at a yard on the Bury Road inside half an hour of leaving the office.
What's the cost of getting a video shoot done?
We price each shoot as its own project, based mainly on shoot days, crew size and the editing time per deliverable. Slicing one day's filming into several assets tends to give the best value, and you receive a full breakdown before anything is confirmed.
Are we contractually locked in if we book video work?
No, each video project stands alone. An ongoing supply of ad creative can run rolling monthly instead, wound up with 30 days' notice, on the same terms as everywhere else.
Can you guarantee results once the video is live as an ad?
Nobody can guarantee a hold rate before a cut has run. Before filming, we agree what the film should achieve, whether that's cost per result, product page conversion or faster sales conversations, so it can be judged fairly afterwards.
Should we spread our filming evenly across the year?
Almost certainly not. We'd plan shoot days around the sales weeks and the season rather than spacing them evenly, because that's when a yard, a sale ring or an event actually has something worth filming.
Which Newmarket sectors do you make video for?
Horseracing and bloodstock, equine veterinary and health, and hospitality and events are sectors we know here. Recruitment film for a stable or a stud is often the highest return use of a single shoot day.
Do you only make video for Newmarket businesses?
No, we're based at 9 Hills Road in Cambridge, though we also film for clients across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, including Ely, Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill. Our Cambridge base shapes how we plan a shoot, not who we work with.
Could you also design the page the video will sit on?
Yes. Web design and development sit in-house alongside video production, so if the page holding your film is losing enquiries, we can fix that at the same time.
What typically happens across the first 90 days of a video project?
The whole process usually takes three to five weeks: script and plan, film, then edit with two rounds of review built in. Faster social cuts can be ready within days of filming if that's arranged upfront.
How will we actually know whether the video is working?
It depends on where the video sits. As an ad, cost per result and hold rate matter. On a product page, conversion against visitors who didn't watch. For sales enablement, whether deals move faster once sent.
Nobody local seems to make video that actually understands the racing trade. Is that true?
It's close to true. Competition here is limited to one generic marketing agency, and equine-literate video is rare enough that a film using the right terms and the right setting stands out immediately.
