Tracking & Analytics for Sawston Businesses
A Sawston research enquiry that closes six months after the first visit and a trade order placed the same afternoon both need to show up properly in your reporting, not disappear into a generic conversion count. We work from Hills Road, about fifteen minutes down the A1301, and start by comparing your analytics, your ad platforms and your actual sales records for the same period.
About us
Clickscope is a small analytics team based fifteen minutes away in Cambridge, rebuilding GA4 and conversion tracking for Sawston's research and trade estate businesses so decisions are based on real enquiries. We're a Cambridge digital marketing agency ten minutes up the road, so Sawston businesses get tracking from people who actually know the village.
Our MISSION
Fix the measurement, then trust what it tells you about Sawston
Analytics, ad platforms and sales records for the same period get lined up against each other first, because that's where the real gaps show themselves. We hold off recommending extra spend anywhere until that picture checks out.
How we run tracking and analytics for Sawston businesses
01 / How we work
Compare three sources, then fix the gaps
Our starting point is comparing analytics, ad platforms and sales records for the same period, then working through tag firing and event definitions to see if the values passed reflect real revenue.

A measurement plan you can hand to anyone
Every event is documented along with its trigger and its meaning, so somebody new can pick this up without ringing us for help.

Owned by you
Your business name holds every property, container and account, and we're only ever added as a user.
Client Results
One ecommerce client turned £50,000 of Google Ads spend into £1.52 million of online sales, a return of just under thirty times over. The multiple only holds because the tracking behind it was reconciled against real orders first.

FAQ
The questions you actually want answered
Do we need to have you visit in person to get our tracking fixed?
Not usually. Most of the audit and rebuild work happens remotely, though we're about fifteen minutes down the A1301 if seeing your setup in person would help.
How much does rebuilding GA4 and our tracking cost?
A fixed price gets quoted once the site's been seen, since a simple trade estate site and a research site with a long enquiry form are different jobs entirely. The audit is separate and smaller.
Does tracking work come with a contract we're locked into?
It's your choice between a one-off project and a monthly check, given that tracking quietly breaks with every site change. The one-off option comes with no retainer pressure.
Is our historical data safe, or could we lose it?
No. Existing properties don't get deleted or replaced without your agreement, and where old data can't be trusted, we note the date it changed.
Some of our enquiries take six months or longer to close. How do you track something that slow?
By connecting enquiry sources through to opportunities created and pipeline value in your CRM, rather than stopping at a form fill and waiting to find out what happened.
Which Sawston sectors do you fix tracking for most?
Life sciences and laboratory services, and trade and construction supply, are sectors we work with here, where a six-month enquiry and a same-week order need very different tracking windows.
Do you only fix tracking for Sawston businesses?
No. We work from Hills Road in Cambridge and also work with clients in St Neots and Cambridge itself. Being close to Sawston isn't a limit on who we work with.
Can the website itself be built or fixed by you, on top of the tracking?
Yes. With web design and development in-house alongside tracking and analytics, a form not passing data correctly can be fixed at the same time.
In the first 90 days of a tracking project, what gets done?
Audits usually take about a week. What follows is a rebuild of two to four weeks, largely spent testing against real transactions rather than configuring.
What's your way of measuring whether a tracking fix worked?
We look at whether analytics, ad platforms and your actual sales records finally line up for the same period, instead of telling three different stories.
We haven't found another agency writing about analytics for this specific market. Does that make it less of a priority?
The opposite. With very little written for Sawston's particular mix of long and short sales cycles, poor tracking is more likely to be the real reason a campaign underperforms than the competition is.
