Commercial Photography in Sawston
A laboratory instrument and a delivery of building materials from the village trade estates need completely different photography. One has to survive a technical spec sheet, the other needs to sell a price and a lead time at a glance. We work from Hills Road, about fifteen minutes down the A1301, and plan the shot list against your website, listings and printed material before a camera comes out.

About us
Clickscope is a small photography team based fifteen minutes away in Cambridge. We shoot for Sawston's laboratory, engineering and trade estate businesses, planned against where each image will actually be used. We're a Cambridge digital marketing agency ten minutes up the road, so Sawston businesses get photography from people who actually know the village.
Our MISSION
Plan the shot list before the shoot, not after
We go through your website, listings and printed material before booking a Sawston shoot, so every frame already has a required composition attached. That's the difference between a gallery you use for years and a folder opened twice.

Judged on where the image lands
Every shoot is planned against the listing, the spec sheet or the ad it will actually appear on, not a general sense of what looks good.
How we run commercial photography for Sawston businesses
01 / How we work
Shot for where it lands
Cut out product shots for listings, in-context images for a spec sheet, and premises photography planned around access and safety, all decided before the shoot rather than worked out afterwards.

A minimum image count, agreed upfront
Instead of promising a vague large number, we agree a minimum daily count of finished images against the shot list that you can actually plan around.

Files are yours, backed up and organised
We hand over a properly organised gallery containing high resolution masters and web-optimised versions, backed up and yours with full usage rights.
Client Results
£50,000 of Google Ads spend became £1.52 million in online sales for one ecommerce client, close to a thirty times return. Imagery carried a large share of that, because shoppers decide from the picture long before reading any copy.

FAQ
The questions you actually want answered
Do you shoot on site at Granta Park, Babraham or the trade estates?
Yes. We're about fifteen minutes down the A1301, and for equipment, facilities or trade stock we'd rather see it in person than work from a description.
How is photography priced for a Sawston shoot?
Pricing is a day or half day rate, with editing and full usage rights already built in rather than added later. Studio hire or travel beyond the region is the sole separate cost, and only where the brief calls for it.
Is there any contract tying us in for photography?
No, we don't lock you into anything. Shoots are commissioned project by project, and ongoing photography support rolls monthly with 30 days' notice if images need refreshing regularly.
What usage rights come with the images?
What you get is full commercial rights in perpetuity, spanning web, print, advertising and social, with nothing further to pay. We keep back only the right to use it in our portfolio, and we'll waive even that for sensitive work.
Some of our work is commercially sensitive. Can that be handled?
Yes. We agree what can be shown publicly before a shoot happens, which matters for research and laboratory clients whose work often sits under confidentiality.
Which Sawston sectors do you photograph most?
Life sciences and laboratory services, and trade and construction supply, are the two we shoot for most here. A technical instrument and a delivery yard need very different treatment.
Do you only photograph Sawston businesses?
No. We work from Hills Road in Cambridge and also travel for clients in Huntingdon and further into Suffolk. Being close to Sawston shapes how quickly we can get on site, not who we shoot for.
Can you also build the website the photography sits on?
Yes. Web design and development sit in-house alongside photography, so if the pages holding the images need work, we can fix that at the same time.
What's involved in the first 90 days once we start working together?
Your templates and spec sheets are mapped into a shot list, after which access and timing get agreed. Within one to two weeks a selection gallery arrives for you to pick favourites before editing is finished.
How do we know if the photography has been effective?
By whether the images actually get used, which is why the shot list comes from your real templates first. For product listings we'd also look at conversion alongside the wider campaign.
We haven't seen another agency writing about photography for this market. Does that make it a lower priority?
The opposite, if anything. With almost nothing published for Sawston's specific mix of research and trade businesses, a properly shot gallery is one of the fastest ways to look established here.
