Commercial Photography for Newmarket Studs, Yards and Hotels
Newmarket sells on how a yard, a stud or a hotel looks. A phone snap of a stable block costs more in lost trade than a proper shoot costs to commission. Tattersalls sales and international buyers from Ireland, France and the Gulf mean the images often have to work for someone deciding whether to place their business here at all. Our studio works out of Hills Road, about 25 minutes down the A14. Before a shoot we go through your listings and website templates, so the shot list already knows what each frame has to do.

About us
Clickscope is a small photography team on Hills Road that Newmarket studs, yards and hotels use for site and product photography, shot to a brief rather than a mood board. As a Cambridge digital marketing agency just 13 miles away, we can be at a Newmarket yard or office for a photography conversation without it being an event.
Our MISSION
Plan the shot list before the shoot, not after
We go through your website, your listings and your printed material before we book a shoot, so every frame already has a required composition attached. That's how a Newmarket business ends up with a gallery it uses for a season rather than a folder opened twice.

Judged on where the image lands
We plan every shoot against the specific listing, ad or page the photo will appear on, not just a general sense of good imagery.
How we run commercial photography for Newmarket businesses
01 / How we work
Shot for where it lands
Facility and yard photography for listings, lifestyle images for hospitality marketing, and detail shots for the specification questions buyers keep asking, all planned before the shoot rather than worked out afterwards.

A minimum image count, agreed upfront
A minimum daily count of finished images is agreed against the shot list upfront, rather than a vague number that's hard to plan around.

Files are yours, backed up and organised
You get a properly structured gallery with high resolution masters and web-optimised copies, backed up and fully yours, usage rights included.
Client Results
An ecommerce client converted £50,000 of Google Ads spend into £1.52 million in online sales. In a trade where a yard, a stud or a hotel is judged on looks, the picture does the selling before the words get read. Photography wasn't the sole reason, but poor images would have capped it well short.

FAQ
The questions you actually want answered
Where's your office, and will you come out to a yard or a sale?
We're at 9 Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 1GE, roughly 25 minutes away via the A14 and A1303. A yard on the Bury Road is reachable within half an hour of leaving Hills Road, which counts for a shoot that needs briefing in person.
How is photography priced?
Pricing is by the day or half day, with editing and full usage rights wrapped into that fee rather than billed on afterwards. The only separate cost is travel beyond the region, and only if the brief needs it.
Do we get tied to a contract by booking photography?
No, there's no tie in. Shoots are booked project by project, and for businesses wanting images refreshed each season, support runs rolling monthly with 30 days' notice.
How are we permitted to use the photography afterwards?
You receive full commercial rights forever, across web, print, advertising and social, with nothing to renew down the line. The one thing we hold onto is showcasing it in our portfolio, unless the work is sensitive, in which case we won't.
Can you photograph horses and facilities on site?
Yes. Commercial photography is one of our services, and Newmarket is close enough that a half day shoot at a yard or a sale is straightforward to arrange around the calendar.
Which Newmarket sectors do you photograph most?
Horseracing and bloodstock, hospitality and events, and specialist retail are sectors we photograph regularly here. Facility and yard photography around a sale week follows the same planning as any other shoot.
Do you only photograph Newmarket businesses?
No. Our base is 9 Hills Road in Cambridge, but we also shoot for clients further out in Cambridge, Ely and Bury St Edmunds. Where we sit affects how a shoot gets planned, not who we work with.
Is website design something you cover alongside the photography?
Yes. We keep web design and development in-house, meaning listing pages that need work can be sorted at the same time as the photography.
What does the process look like across the first 90 days?
Your website and any printed material get mapped into a shot list, with access and timing then fitted around the calendar. One to two weeks on, a selection gallery lets you pick favourites before we finish editing.
What tells you the photography is actually working?
What matters is whether the images actually get used, so the shot list is always built from your real templates and formats first. For ecommerce work, we'd also watch conversion figures alongside your broader marketing.
Our buyers travel in from Ireland, France and the Gulf. Does the photography need to work harder for them?
Often, yes. An overseas buyer is frequently deciding whether Newmarket is where they place their business at all, and images shot properly on site read very differently to a phone snap sent by email.
